Structured Cabling Solutions
Structured cabling is a method of organizing cables in a building or data center. It involves installing a set of standards that determine how to install cables for data or voice networks in computer centers, offices or buildings. Structured cabling networks are currently the fastest, most reliable and safest working environments. Even if wireless systems are a tempting solution at first glance, they do not offer the quality of a CAT5e, CAT6a, CAT7 cable network.
Structured cabling offer:
- Flexibility: Structured cabling allows for greater flexibility in configuring and reconfiguring voice and data networks. This can be useful in case changes need to be made to the network or new devices added.
- Efficiency: Structured cabling can help reduce costs by eliminating unnecessary cables and cables not being used.
- Reliability: Structured cabling can help increase network reliability by eliminating unnecessary cables and ensuring a better connection between devices.
To create a structured cabling network, we will go through the following steps with you:
- ANALYSIS – at this stage we will ask you for details about the activity you carry out, about the requests that the structured network must support daily. We will analyze the building and its plans, the organization of future workplaces, etc. Thus, we will be able to choose together the most suitable solution for your building, which will ensure flexibility, scalability, robustness and ease of maintenance.
- DESIGN – this stage is performed with the help of specialized CAD software in which, based on customer plans and site analysis, the placement of network sockets, racks, desired routes, climbs and descents between floors, sizing of cable channel, gutter, etc. is transposed into the project, after which a real estimate can be obtained with the necessary materials and price
- EXECUTION – involves the actual wiring, through false ceiling, floor, walls or cable channel. For all variants, depending on the size of the network, special organizers will be used for cable routes (supports, cable beds) to protect cables from tension and provide good organization and easy maintenance.
- TESTING – is performed with specific equipment, you are having proof that everything works at the promised parameters;
Structured cabling could be improved by using 5G technology and in the future 6G, WiFi 6 and IoT (Internet of Things). For example, 5G technology could be used to provide a faster and more reliable connection between devices, while IoT could be used to connect devices such as sensors and surveillance cameras to the network. In addition, structured cabling could be improved by using optical fiber, which provides a higher data transfer speed and a more stable connection. In conclusion, fully functional structured cabling is useful to ensure an efficient, flexible and reliable data and voice network.
As a last-resort alternative to structured cabling, a Powerline type network can be implemented that uses the electrical infrastructure of the building to transmit computer data between various equipment, so the electrical network can be very easily transformed into a high-speed Internet network. Each adapter (the HomePlug standard is used) separately works as a portable LAN port, being able to transmit data wirelessly or by cable to every place in your house where there is a socket, not affected by the interference of physical obstacles.
